Conclusively, summer takes a heavy toll on our body as the sun squeezes almost all the water intake from our body and leaves us dry. Eating hot and spicy food has the largest contribution to the production of heat in the body. As summers are rising, people might get prone to excessive heat, affecting their bodies and lifestyle. Those people who eat a lot of fried and oily food are mostly affected by this and should be careful as it builds up excessive heat in the body and results in health issues. Also, there is a difference between foods that provides a cooling effect and which are hot. Hence, the nuts should be avoided as it contains heat effect in high content. A diet which is rich in protein has heat power in it, and who are gym enthusiast should take low content of protein. Cinnamon powder, Flax seeds, etc., are some of the foods which should be consumed in minimum quantity.

For those people who are looking for options to naturally maintain your body heat, the following are different foods that cause a cooling effect in the body and can be used to cool down the body heat-

  1. Avocado– Avocado is a type of fruit that contains 20 percent monounsaturated fatty acids, which nourish the yin in the blood. And 80 percent of the calorie content in avocado is easily digested, making it very easy to digest other fat content. It also boosts the potassium content, which is a minimum of three times more than a banana. You can try the following salad-

For the Salad:

One bunch of kale with removes stems

1-½ avocados chopped

½ thinly sliced small red onion

½ thinly sliced cucumber

Avocado- 1

Lemon Juice- 6 tbsp

Lime juice- 6 tbsp

Mustard powder- ¼ tbsp

For garnishing- Slivered almonds

Spicy pepper triggers the cooling mechanism in the body and evaporates the excess heat. It doesn’t deeply cool your body down, but it does cool the skin. This vegan soup is ideal throughout the year made up of fresh tomatoes.

Ingredients-

3 quartered ripe tomatoes, quartered

1 chopped red pepper, chopped

2 chopped carrots, chopped

Tahini- 4 tbsp

Dates- 4

1 small clove garlic

Chipotle seasoning- 1 teaspoon

One lemon

Salt and pepper- For a taste

Celery, minced- 4 tbsp

Olive Oil- 1 tbsp

Garlic cloves- 2

Chopped Tomato- 1

Green chili or chili flakes for taste

Salt- 2/3 tbsp for taste

Powdered or soaked cashew- ¼ cup

Water- ½ cup

Virgin coconut oil- 1 tbsp
