If you are trying tofu for the first time, you should bake it instead of deep-frying it to keep its nutrients intact. Ingredients For Crispy Baked Tofu
- 500 gms of tofu
- 1 tbsp tamari or Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- Cornstarch/arrowroot starch
Method
Step 1: Drain the water: Cut the tofu slabs into cubes. With the help of a lint-free towel or cloth, squeeze the water out of the pieces.
Step 2: Marinate: Now, drizzles the squeezed tofu with olive oil and tamari/soy sauce. Put and mix cornstarch or arrowroot starch to evenly coat the mixture.
Step3: Bake: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and put the tofu on the baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid them from sticking. Bake for 30 mins or so, and remember to toss them after 15 mins so that the edges become golden. Now your dish is ready, and you can enjoy it with your meal.
