Ingredients For Falafel And Hummus
- 1 big bowl of boiled chickpeas
- 1 big bowl of soaked chickpeas
- 1 small bowl of white untoasted sesame seeds
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 bunch coriander leaves
- 2 finely chopped onions
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 20 garlic cloves (10 with the skin)
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- ½ tbsp baking soda
- 1 lemon half
- Oil for deep frying
Step 1: Preparing Hummusà In a mixer grinder, put a big bowl of totally boiled chickpeas, white sesame seeds, a cup of olive oil, 6-7 cloves of garlic, salt for taste, lemon juice, and grind them into a fine paste. Now transfer the paste to a bowl, put olive oil on top, and put it inside the fridge.
Step 2: For the Falafela, Get a big bowl of soaked chickpeas, add in a bunch of parsley, coriander, chopped onions, ten garlic cloves without removing the skin, cumin seeds, salt, and baking soda. Mix and add everything into the grinder to form a coarse paste to shape it into falafels. Make sure that the mixture is evenly mixed with spices and herbs.
Step 3: Deep fry. Get a frying pan and put oil into it for deep frying. Now take a handful of the mixture and pat them into the shape of a patty. When the oil is hot, put the falafels one by one into the oil. Take care that the falafels do not separate when you put them into the oil. Fry them till they turn golden. Switch off the gas and take out the hummus from the fridge. Now your falafel and hummus are ready. You can dip the falafel into the hummus and enjoy the tasty meal.
