Although the recipe of tea may differ from one region to another, yet the emotion behind chai is universal. It is a drink that brings people together, so how can we not have a day that celebrates this iconic drink; 15th December is celebrated globally as International Tea Day.

This day was included to draw global attention of government authorities on the global tea trade, the workers involved in tea production, and help in providing price supports and fair trade.

So, as we celebrate this day, I thought, let’s explore one of the richest and dominant forms of tea – The Kashmiri Kahwa.
