Made by just a handful of simple and everyday kitchen ingredients, it is tasty, aromatic, and healthy and eaten with almost all our Indian main dishes like rice, parathas, rotis, pooris, etc. What makes a Dal fry so unique? 11 | Ginger Garlic Paste | 1 Tablespoons |

13 | Turmeric | ¼ Tablespoons |
14 | Garam Masala | ¼ Tablespoons |
15 | Red Chilli Powder | ¼ to ½ Tablespoons |
16 | Kasuri Methi | ½ Tablespoons |

Cooking Method:
Wash the dal ingredients properly and add it to a pressure cooker with water. Cook on medium flame until two whistles. After this, the dal becomes soft and mushy.
Next, take a pan and add ghee, oil, or butter. Add mustard, cumin, and red chili (optional).
After they splutter, add onions and green chilies. Saute until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and saute until the raw smell disappears.
Add Tomatoes and salt saute till they turn soft.
Add the masalas chili powder, garam masala, and turmeric.
Saute till the masala aroma leaves the pan.
Finally, add the cooked Dal and add water accordingly to bring to consistency.
Stir well for about 3 to 5 minutes till the dal bubbles well.
When the desired consistency arrives, add Kasuri methi and salt if required.
Stir and cook for a minute.
Turn off the stove and garnish with chopped coriander and lemon juice if required.
Serve with a lemon wedge or ghee if required.
